A Pitch in Time Saves Nine


Working on some more jungle music today (that seems to be all we’re doing this week!) and have preemptively averted a potential problem. It’s easy to overlook the fact that sound effects and music are going to be heard together. They need to collaborate and interlock nicely. For this reason I’m making sure that any powerups (and any other sound effects with definite pitch) stay firmly within the same key as the gameplay background music. This way the sounds and music will not clash, saving a lot of time later on when we review all the sounds together.
